Youth Ministry

“I rejoiced greatly to find some of your children walking in the truth just as we were commanded by the Father.” (2 John 1:4)

The Youth Ministry represents our teens from ages 16-20. The mission is to evangelize, tend, form, empower, equip, and send out our young men and women so that they can become messengers of Christ’s Love to an often confused and lost segment of their peers and thus pave the way for their integration into mature Christian adults.

Youth Reflection
My Time in the Youth Ministry

Reflecting back on my time in the youth ministry, I find an abundance of pleasant memories, full of spiritual growth and strength in my faith. The blessings I have received over the years as a member of the community are awesome examples of God’s unconditional love for all His children.
It was the fall of my sophomore year of high school when my parents joined the Marriage Encounter and we became a part of the BLD Trenton community. Shortly after, I was a part of the Youth Encounter and Youth Life in the Spirit Seminar. Eventually, my family and I also attended the Family Encounter. My experiences during these spirit-filled weekends truly provided a stronger foundation for my ever-growing relationship with the Lord. I believe that because of my involvement in the ministry, I was able to begin college life with the spiritual strength I needed to get through some of my toughest times as a young adult.
Now as I embark on my journey as a college graduate, I know I will continue to grow in faith and learn more about the Lord’s presence in my life, each and every day. I must remain steadfast in my prayers and place my full trust in His perfect plan for me. My successful academic endeavors are blessings from above and I hope to continue showing all my love and thanksgiving to the Lord for all He has blessed me with in my life.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” – Proverbs 3:5-6
